- Open your IconArt program
- Click File choose New Project
- Click The Cursor tab
- you will see animted cursor then frames ... change the frames to

- Click the Animated Cursor
- Via the menu on the left side you will see the line tool right
under the pencil Click the line tool
- Choose your draw color (this color needs to be different
than your mask color. Your mask color will be the invisible
(transparent)color.
- Lets draw a crayon or pencil. Start at the top left corner
and draw the led or crayon tip. Remember you only have one undo...so if
you don't like it undo right then. If you go beyond your undo point and
really want to... you can start new.
Here is my crayon tip... before I go any further I am
going to add some highlights and shadowing by using lighter and darker
shades.
- Now I have an idea I want a fat look for my wrapper.
Remember with the line tool you can click to color a spot or left click hold
and drag to make a line.
- Now to do some shading on my wrapper.... just adding different
colors
- Now I need to create an end cap... it could be flat... rounded...
IA has a preset circle you will see it in the image above... the menu on the
left the fifth and sixth one down. The fifth is a hallow circle and the
sixth is a filled circle. I am going to choose the hallow one to create
my end cap.
now to fill it I will use different shades of blue
starting with dark and follow the guide I just made with this circle.
- Click the line tool again and use a dash lighter color... then a
dash lighter again...
hummm... at this point I think I have created
lipstick... and thats kewl too...
- ok I am done with my frame so I Click from the menu at the top
Edit and choose Copy
- Next I click the second frame to activate it
- Click Edit and Choose Paste
- My idea is to make the pink color flow from the cap to the tip...
but since I want it animated I will go half way with my color.
- Click Edit and Choose Copy
- Click to activate frame 3 and choose Edit and choose Paste and
continue your color almost to the tip
Now that I have the color going up...
I need to have it go down so the animation is smooth... so now I simply
- From the very top menu Click Icon and choose Insert Frame After
Current... now you have a fourth frame and its empty.
- Click the Fourth frame to activate it... You had copied frame # 2
and thats the one we want here so simply Click Edit and choose Paste
- Not the HotSpot should be set on 0.0 which is the upper left
corner ...so it does not need adjusting. This is ready to save. In
the picture menu at the top click .ani and save your animated
pointer.
