Adding Space to the top of the image.
Click Layers/Promote to Layer
Bottom left corner of PSP gives me the size of the
image thus this is what I go by to adjust my canvas.
Don't see the sizes bottom right corner? Click
View/Toolbars/check mark Status Bar.
In the image above... I kept the same width.... cuz I
don't want it to be wider I want it to be taller..... so I added some space to
the height.
In the sections below I changed the Top to add the
extra space.
I placed 0 at the bottom and sides .....
Thus clicking ok.... my image will appear perfectly at
the bottom and sides with a blank spot at the top.
Click Layers/New Raster Layer/OK
Click Layers/Arrange/Send to bottom
Click your Air Brush
(if your program does not have an air brush... Click
your paint brush and scribble many colors shades that are present in the current
background... then smudge it.)
With the Air Brush selected. In the STYLES area
on the top one click to select Color not a pattern or gradient but
color.
Click the Color it shows in the square and that will
give you an eyedropper to select a color from the image itself....
(don't see the image due to the new window being
ontop? Left click hold and drag via the color section at the top of the
new window and move it out of your way.)
Hover cursor over the image and in the background area
select a color..... Do some scribbling.... then Select another color from the
background then paint some more........
once done...
Click Layers/Merge/Merge Visible
Click Lasso Tool and outline the body
Click Selections/Invert
Click Effects/Blurr/Gaussian Blurr Click
ok.
Now I need to finish off the top of her head using the
Clone technique.
In this case I only need to add some sort of flower
definition by cloning from the flowers in her hair. If it were the top of
a head with hair.... you would simply clone hair and shape it
according.
Who knew those flowers weren't there huh
huh?
I also did a dab of smudge on them to give them a
little blend.
Dang Mom you were soooooooo cute.
Next Section is to adjust the quality and
effects.
